A dispatch desk for 26 ft box trucks

BoxTruckDispatch is a box truck dispatch service. We find, negotiate and book freight for owner-operators and small fleets running 26 ft box trucks, and we take care of the broker paperwork that comes with every load. We work for the carrier. We are not a broker and we don't sell loads.

Why only one truck size

A 26 ft box truck lives in its own corner of the freight market. It takes about 12 standard pallets on the floor, usually stops at a 26,000 lb GVWR so it can run without a CDL, often has a liftgate, and gets booked on partials, LTL, retail, appliance and final-mile freight that a 53 ft trailer would never chase.

Dispatching one size lets us know that freight well: which brokers post it, how much weight a non-CDL truck can legally take, which deliveries need a liftgate, and what a fair rate looks like on a two-stop partial. We'd rather be useful to one kind of truck than average for every kind.

How the desk works

  1. Step 1

    You set the rules

Lanes, home time, the freight you won't haul and your minimum rate per mile. We write them down and book inside them.

  2. Step 2

    We search and plan

Major load boards plus brokers and shippers we already work with, with the reload planned before you deliver.

  3. Step 3

    We negotiate

Every rate is countered from your floor up. Loads that won't clear it don't reach your phone.

  4. Step 4

    You approve

You see the pickup, delivery, weight and rate before anything is booked. Nothing moves without your yes.

  5. Step 5

    We do the paperwork

Carrier packets, rate confirmation checks, check calls, detention and TONU claims, and a weekly report.

The full onboarding, from application to your first booked load, is on how our dispatch works. The fee and what it includes are on the pricing page.

What we won't do

  • Promise you a rate, a number of loads or an income. Freight markets move and nobody controls them.
  • Book a load you haven't approved.
  • Act as your broker, your insurance agent, your lender or your lawyer. We work for you, the carrier, as your dispatcher.
  • Charge a setup fee, lock you into a long contract, or bill you in a week you didn't haul.
  • Dispatch anything other than 26 ft box trucks.

Who writes our guides

Our box truck guides and calculators are written by the BoxTruckDispatch Dispatch Desk. Rules are checked against the regulation itself, numbers carry a source and a date, and examples are labeled as examples. The editorial policy explains how we research, date and correct them.

Put a dispatcher on your box truck

7% of gross for one truck, 6% for 2+ trucks (limited-time). No setup fee, month-to-month, 30 days notice to cancel. If you don't haul, you don't pay.
